This is a medium to long term mixture combining the very high output of Hybrid Ryegrass and the quality and persistence of Perennial Ryegrass into one of the most popular dual purpose leys within the ForageMax range.
As the name implies, Flexicrop fulfi ls a dual purpose role, offering excellent performance for both grazing and conservation. The White Clover blend offers an excellent legume cover in the sward which increases protein and mineral content. At the same time it produces Nitrogen, the very useful by-product of Clover growth. As with VersaMax All Stock, the early spring grazing can delay, but potentially improve the silage cut quality when taken later in the month of May. Grazing should be limited and topping the grass after grazing levels growth and makes for a more even cut at ensiling.
